Passive Capture Engine (PCE)

We've found that the CDT's underlying engine for passively capturing network data is also useful in other applications. It's a generic approach to unintrusive data acquisition. Therefore, we've made it available to developers as a complete OEM package.

Understanding the behavior of applications and users requires real-time access to network messages. Passive capture devices give solutions interested in analyzing this behavior the data they need without time consuming and expensive system integration.

That's why more and more application monitoring and fraud detection providers are using such devices that simply plug into the network switch and get a passive data feed. Unfortunately, not everyone has the expertise to build such devices themselves or resources to acquire a company that does.

The PCE is low-cost, easy-to-integrate, and exensible option for application monitoring providers. You get a neatly-packaged, production-proven, and fully-supported passive capture system.
